Half subdivision, half farm road. We quote the house and the outbuildings together.
Chili sits on the southwest corner of the county, which makes it the shortest run from Attica of anywhere in the Rochester ring. Chili Avenue and Route 33A carry the built-up end around Chili Center and North Chili, and the western half of the town is still open farmland.
Chili Avenue and Buffalo Road east to west, Union Street north to south, with 490 across the top and open country toward Riga.
Subdivision ranches and colonials toward the city end, farmhouses and properties with barns and pole buildings out west.
Open ground and very little shelter. Drifting snow across the fields, and wind that arrives at a roofline with nothing in front of it.
Around fifty minutes from Attica, the shortest run of any Monroe town for us.
What open-country Chili gets is wind, and plenty of it: lifted tabs along a ridge, a strip of shingles off the windward slope of a pole barn, and sealant strips that broke in January and never reset in the cold. We photograph it and write it up.
Straight talk on insurance claims. We inspect, photograph, and document the damage, and we give you a written, itemized estimate you can hand to your insurer — and we can meet your adjuster on the roof. Your insurance company decides what’s covered. We don’t negotiate settlements — by New York law only a licensed public adjuster or attorney can represent you in a claim. We never pay, waive, or absorb deductibles (New York GBL §771-b makes that insurance fraud), and no contractor can promise your claim will be approved.
Repair or full replacement — we photograph what we find and recommend the cheaper fix when it will hold.

Wind off the lake plain and ice at the eaves. We photograph every slope and put the findings in writing.

House, garage, barn and pole building. We walk all of them, photograph what is there, and give you a single written scope rather than making you chase separate quotes for the same afternoon of work.

At the city end of Chili the work looks like the rest of suburban Monroe: tear-off, plywood decking, architectural shingles, ridge vent, and a town permit that is a fraction of what the city charges. The houses from the eighties and nineties here are at or near their first replacement, and most of them are straightforward.
West of Union Street it changes. Farmhouses with additions on additions, metal on some outbuildings and asphalt on others, and roof planes big enough that a wind event takes a whole strip rather than a few tabs. We quote those as separate line items on one scope so you can do the house now and the barn next year without starting over.
Being the closest Monroe town to our shop also means we can get here quickly for an active leak, which is not something we can promise everywhere in the county. If water is coming in, say so when you call.
Yes, and we prefer to. One visit, one written scope with the buildings as separate lines, so you can approve part of it and leave the rest for another year.
Chili is about fifty minutes from our shop, the shortest run of any Monroe town for us. For an active leak we move it up the schedule — tell us when you call that water is coming in.
That's a common one out here, and it is usually repairable without redoing the whole roof. We photograph the fastener pattern and the panel edges and quote the repair. If the roof is genuinely done we say that instead.
Yes, the town issues its own and the fee is small next to the City of Rochester's. We pull it, meet the inspector and list the fee in the written price.
Every slope photographed, findings explained, and a written, itemized price — repair, replace, or “you’re good for now.”
The Walk-Away Promise: if the report says your roof is fine, we hand you the file and leave. No follow-up calls unless you ask for one. See all 27 points →
Tell us what’s going on up top. We come out, photograph everything, and put the answer in writing — no pressure.
